ABOUT ME

IMG_5456_polarr.JPEG

I am Zimu Yang, or simply Zumi.

Born and raised in Wuhan, a city embraced by lakes, carrying a quiet warmth and a touch of romance. I’ve always been drawn to summer—the thick heat, the hum of cicadas, the shimmer of rising haze. I love standing beneath trees, feeling the breeze thread through branches, watching sunlight flicker on the ground like a quiet breath.

I studied digital culture in London and now pursue my master's in Los Angeles. My journey with photography began in the fourth grade when my father placed a camera in my hands. Not long after, he gifted me my first camera. Since then, my world has become a collection of framed moments, each click a fragment of time held still.

I capture cities, travels, and the quiet interplay between people and landscapes. I love the raw honesty of film and the fluid grace of digital. To me, a photograph is more than an image—it is a vessel for memory, a quiet echo of emotion.

I hope you find in these frames something familiar or, perhaps, something new.
